Social Media Change

I do not think that social media will change much in the future. It is already very popular. I believe that skype will gain popularity in the future. It will not only be used for mesaging, but for facebook and other things. I look to see skype technology improving.

  1. Sorry Cody, I disagree. I think social media is just getting started and Skype's future plans are small. Take for example Virtual worlds, the possibilities are endless. We could be attending school from home connected thru our TV's to a virtual classroom and practicing real life use of that program in a virtual world simulation lab. We might even go to the gym put on a headset and workout with a simulated trainer that knows thru the sensors you are wearing what workout you should do and any modifications required.
It is also in the works that Tweets will be connected to objects -- say you leave the stove on your stove would send you a tweet letting you know.
I am also fearful, if we are not careful we may become so connected that our privacy will be obliterated and our world may become like that in the novel by Orsen Wells "1984".

  2. Cody,
I agree with you on skype, I think it will become more popular in the future. But do you really think social media is already too popular to change? I believe that social media still has more to accomplish for the future.

  3. Cody,

I agree with you about skype. It will most definately become more popular.

But I disagree that social media is at its peak in popularity. There are going to be changes added to sites that already exist to increase popularity, etc. There are also many other websites that are going to emerge to meet popular demands.
